Still image analysis

Low-key lighting is a technique used in film and television to create mood or set the tone of a scene. This still image is from the exorcist. The use of lighting is Low-key. This creates an scary atmosphere because we don't what the demon will do to the doctor so the director creates an enigma code with the low-key lighting as we don't know what will happen to this man as the exorcist is really dangerous. Their is high-key lighting on the doctor this may have different meanings and different interpretations-the light is coming from the exorcist room. The shot used is a wide shot-the wide shot shows the setting and focuses on more than 1 thing and the use of high key lighting is used to focus on the doctor to show his stance.
